The recipient of multiple design awards and over 20 years old, St. Mary's Gardens continues to serve as a current example of dignified senior housing.

The move to a senior housing apartment complex  can be a difficult transtition , especially for those who have lived in single family homes.

To ease the transition, St Mary's Gardens was designed to reproduce some of the amenities associated with a single family dwellings - front and back doors, immediate access to outdoor gardens, use of natural light and a defineable neighborhood with a town square.

The complex consists of 101 units in five clusters situated to relate to the existing neighborhood and to form distinct outdoor spaces.

Acting as a "main street"for the complex, a unique one story corridor ties the clusters to a centrally located community building, complete with arts and crafts, hair salon, dining facilities and living area.
